Aku pergi tahlil, kau bilang itu amalan jahil

Aku baca shalawat burdah, kau bilang itu bid’ah

Lalu aku harus bagaimana…?

Aku bertawasul dengan baik, kau bilang aku musyrik

Aku ikut majlis zikir, kau bilang aku kafir

Aku solat pakai lafadz niat, kau bilang aku sesat

Aku mengadakan maulid, kau bilang tak ada dalil yang valid

Aku gemar berziarah, kau bilang aku alap-alap berkah

يا منزل الآيات والفرقان بيني وبينك حرمة القرآن

اشرح به صدري لمعرفة الهدى واعصم به قلبي من الشيطان

يسر به أمري وأقض مآربي وأجر به جسدي من النيران

واحطط به وزري وأخلص نيتي واشدد به أزري وأصلح شأني

واكشف به ضري وحقق توبتي واربح به بيعي بلا خسراني

طهر به قلبي وصف سريرتي أجمل به ذكري واعل مكاني

وجعلت ذكري في البرية شائعاً حتى جعلت جميعهم إخوانى

والله لو علموا قبيح سريرتي لأبى السلام علي من يلقاني

ولأعرضوا عني وملوا صحبتي ولبؤت بعد كرامة بهوان

لكن سترت معايبي ومثالبي وحلمت عن سقطي وعن طغياني

فلك المحامد والمدائح كلها بخواطري وجوارحي ولساني
